The Northland Chorale is celebrating over 36 years of entertaining folks in the North Metro area. Since its beginnings in 1970, this group has performed over 64 musicals and variety shows. We have found that through music, we can share our love for life with you. We believe in the power of music to bring people close together and to provide an opportunity to share some moments of happiness. The Northland Chorale is a 40 voice mixed chorus made up of volunteers from all walks of life, who love to sing and entertain and who will set your toes a tappin' and your hearts a singin'! We are known for our entertaining numbers, whether they be fully choreographed choral production numbers or comedic skits, along with solos and small group numbers performed by Chorale members. In all cases, shows are written, produced and performed by Chorale members based on a show theme chosen from audience suggestions and member's input. We perform a wide variety of music, whether it be vaudeville, show tunes, rock & roll, doo-wop, pop, movie themes, gospel .well, you get the point. Whatever the show theme calls for! You will find that the Northland Chorale is not your traditional Community Chorale. We memorize all of our music, add choreography and intermingle some comedy, for a total experience! We strive to produce a variety show that is entertaining to all ages and genders in our audience. We are one of the longest continuously operating Chorales or Show Groups in the Denver Metro Area. We've been entertaining audiences for 35 years and they keep coming back. We must be doing something right ... come see for yourself at our next performance.
The Northland Chorale is very pleased to have ROBERT BARTALOT join us as Music Director in the Fall of 2003. Besides being the Chorale's new Music Director, Robert as also the the Music Director for Park Hill Congregational Church in Denver. He retired from Denver Public Schools in 1999 where he taught Voice, Music and English for 28 years. In musical theater, he has directed productions of many well know musicals, such as Cabaret, Fiddler on the Roof, Godspell, Grease, Guys and Dolls, The Music Man and many more. He was recently the Director and Accompanist for productions of "Prince of Thumbs" and "Katastrophe Kate" for the Northglenn Youth Theater. Having Studied with such greats as John Nelson at the Aspen Choral Institute and participated in choral workshops with such clinicians as Fred Warring, Norman Luboff, Eric Ericson, Paul Salamunovich, and Jester Hairston, it is no wonder that the Chorale is excited to have Bob join our musical family. Not to mention that he has a great Tenor voice as well !
The Northland Chorale is equally pleased to have PATRICIA STRAUCH join the chorale as our main rehearsal and performance accompanist. Patti brings a wealth of keyboard experience and a great personality to the Chorale. As a performance/rehearsal accompanist, private piano teacher and contract musician she has shared her talents with churches, musical theater and dance studios in Colorado and Florida since 1974. We are very happy that Patti is sharing her great musical talent with us. She is a treasured addition to this family.
